After a software upgrade we now offer a web proxy on all accounts via the “RP Proxy” Tab in your torrent interface.

This is a major new feature that many other seedbox providers charge for.

in the next 4 days we plan on adding an option to specify a USA based Seedbox server when you sign up.

RapidPeer will be the first seedbox host offering Instant setup on USA based Seedbox Servers.

You will not be able to move once you choose USA vs Europe.

RapidPeer has added Two (2) NEW GREAT datacenters to our server mix for Bronze, Silver and Gold Torrent Seedbox Packages.  These servers feature Unlimited FULL duplex 100-mbit connections, Intel Quad-Core Processors, 8-GB ram and server motherboards.

They are currently ( March 19th, 2010) the default servers being used for new accounts created.  RapidPeer anticipates using these two european data centers for future servers as well.

RapidPeer will also soon be offering dedicated seedbox servers on these boxes as well.

RapidPeer has initially purchased 10 of servers from this datacenter  and 15 from the other.

RapidPeer Seedboxes will soon be adding a new feautre to our instant accoutn creation order system-

We will add an upgrade that allows you to choose a USA datacenter for your shared Bronze, Silver or Gold Seedbox Account.

Then we will add a drop down menu that allows the user at signup/purchase to choose which geographic datacenter their shared server is going to be located at.

Generally with a USA datacenter seedbox, you will get slower Torrent transfer speeds, but better FTP speeds to your home.  This suits some people better for various reasons, thus we will soon offer the option.

Once this is implemented and tested, we will extend the program to cover our dedicated server seedbox offerings.

These servers will be used strictly for our Bronze, Silver and Gold Torrent Seedbox packages.

Each has unlimited 100mbit bandwidth and 8 GB of ram.  We also opted for 2 (two) x 250GB drives versus 1 x 500GB as this will help with Read / Write times and seek for servers running several torrents.

RapidPeer.com is currently in discussions with 2 European data centers to purchase up to 40 servers (total) in a package to offer our clients on our Shared Torrent Seedbox Plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

Each box is either 4 GB or 8 GB or ram and Quad Core.  And unlimited bandwidth which is key.

We will also have 2 of our proprietary TurboFTP custom servers at each of these data-centers so that we may offer this feature on these servers as well.

One data center is located in Germany
